Research Areas
This study aims to provide a panoramic view of the Spanish transport infrastructure during the 1986–2016 period (or until the last data available) and to analyze the impact of transport infrastructure investment from the economic, social and environmental perspectives. The study also aims to develop a cost-benefit methodology for transport infrastructure investment and a methodology for facilitating the movement of residents in territories off the Spanish peninsula, seeking to increase connectivity and reduce mobility costs.
The study examines all types of transport infrastructure:
- Road (distinguishing between toll motorways and roads)
- Rail infrastructure (distinguishing between high-speed and standard rail)
- Ports
- Airports
