The socioeconomic contribution of the University of Cordoba

The objective of this project is to analyze and quantify the socioeconomic contribution of the University of Cordoba. The aim is to quantify the benefits to society of the University of Cordoba, a higher-education institution with self-government, but that relies on resources which to a large extent are public. In the current circumstances of financial adjustments, it is important to show society the results of the University’s activity.

The goal is to show the public in general and governments that the activities carried out by the University of Cordoba have a positive economic and social impact and, therefore, deserve to continue receiving support. Thus, the report quantifies the importance that its main activities, i.e., research, human capital formation and technological development, have on its environment.
