For twelve years in a row, the U-Ranking project has been analyzing the performance of Spanish universities, with the goal of providing relevant information about the results of these institutions to the various parties involved. Based on the project’s powerful database, the information and analyses produced offers useful and comparable information to university administrators, policymakers, and people requesting their educational services. U-Ranking offers comparable and synthetic images of universities that allow university managers and policy makers to classify the achievements of these higher education institutions according to their teaching, research and innovation and development. As a result of this work, U-Ranking university rankings are published each year, along with a detailed report that explains the results. U-Ranking helps new students, their families and guidance counselors when choosing a career by offering relevant and up-to-date information. To this end, the project’s website offers degree rankings, based on the same methodology as the general rankings, and accompanies them with a set of practical information such as tuition costs, cut-off marks and job placement probabilities.
