IvieLAB. Analysis of the financing system of Spain’s regions, reform proposals and instruments for the transition to the new system

This research work will develop several documents to keep an up-to-date analysis of the regional funding problems of the Valencian Community. To this end, the effects of the current model will be analyzed, with special attention to underfunding, debt accumulation, and the impact it has on the welfare state and on the Valencian policies for promoting economic development.

Additionally, efforts will be made to provide substantial resources on which to base a proposal for the funding of the Valencian Regional Government that responds to its needs and is accepted by all the administrations. As a result of this study, several comprehensive reports will be prepared, as well as shorter informative and/or executive documents.
