The objective of this study is to monitor the situation of the Valencian Region in the use of Next Generation European Union (NGEU) funds until 31 December 2022, for both the state public sector and the regional public sector which consists of regional and local public entities. This new report is an update of the previous one (Maudos, Mollá and Pérez 2022) that analyzed the use of funds until 30 June 2022. The information analyzed includes tenders for contracts and subsidies, which are the two main ways in which the funds reach the real economy. Information provided by the Public Sector Procurement Platform (for tenders) and the National System of Information on Subsidies and Public Aids has been processed, identifying all the calls for proposals financed by NGEU funds (MRR and REACT-EU). The information is dated December 2022, which is therefore the reference date of this report, allowing a comparison of the last two years (2021 and 2022).
