The objective of this report is to estimate the economic impact of the pandemic in the Valencian Community by offering estimates on GVA and employment by sectors, with the highest disaggregation possible with the available data. In addition, an estimate of the impact is offered in terms of gross operating surplus, given the interest in knowing the magnitude of the impact in order to compensate with funds the losses suffered by businesses as a result of the pandemic. The report also contains a description of the types of businesses by sectors that have been affected the most by the COVID-19 derived crisis, in order to have an estimate of the number of firms that could potentially receive the funds.
