Economic impact of Mercadona in Catalonia 2020

The report has two objectives. First, to estimate the total economic impact of Mercadona in the Spanish region of Catalonia and its contribution to the region’s GDP and employment during 2020. Second, it aims to assess the impact of Mercadona derived from its activity and related investments which also include the investments made by the local suppliers based in Catalonia. For this purpose, aggregate information is provided for the whole economy, as well as by sectors.
