The objective of this project is to provide an update of the data and the document on the digital economy of the Spanish regions (“Economía digital en las CCAA españolas”), which was developed to evaluate the degree of progress of digitalization in Spain, in order to make a regional comparison, highlighting the most relevant differences. The proposed approach consists of analyzing how digitalization is introduced in the sectors through two fundamental channels for the generation of value: investments in digital assets and the structure of occupations with different degrees of digitalization. In this way, a quantification of the impact of digitalization is provided by estimating its contribution to value added/GDP.

This update shows the latest information available for all the variables considered and in accordance with the established methodology.
