Geographical distribution of household income in Spain
Geographical distribution of household income in Spain
Project start date: 2024
Year of publication: 2024
Funding institution: Fundación Ramón Areces

This work aims to analyze (and compare) the situation and evolution of the living conditions of families in the different regions, provinces and municipalities of our country. Thus, we will discuss the evolution of economic growth and its impact on the evolution of family income; we will consider whether the situation of the poorest people has improved; we will study whether gender disparities have decreased; and whether  inequalities have been reduced over time.

Three important questions will be addressed: (1) how has overall (and relative) prosperity evolved in the different territories? (2), what has been the behavior of the poorest individuals? (3) what has happened to the most disadvantaged strata of society? The Atlas of Household Income Distribution will serve as the main to respond to these questions.
