This project will create a ranking of Talent Pools in Spanish Autonomous Communities following the methodology developed by the IMD World Competitiveness Center’s World Talent Ranking 2017, which is currently available for 63 countries and for the period 2013-2017. The methodology was revised for the 2017 ranking to ensure its compatibility with the Digital Competitiveness Ranking published by the same institution.
The project will be carried out in two stages. In the first stage a database will be created using two types of complementary information: information currently available from institutions that produce data on a regular basis (e.g., Spanish Statistical Office, Eurostat, OECD, among others); and supplementary qualitative information from surveys carried out to management and/or human resources departments in a sample of companies.
In the second stage, this information will be used to analyze the impact of talent attraction and retention capability on growth in Spain and its 17 regions. The new database will complement the intangible assets database produced jointly by the Cotec Foundation and Ivie, thus advancing in the understanding of the factors that contribute to well-being in society and intelligent growth based on knowledge, talent attraction and retention, education, R&D, innovation, and the construction of a digital society.
