Macrodata and analysis of R&D in the ICT sectors (PREDICT)

The Joint Research Centre of the European Commission, the Institute for Prospective Technological Studies (IPTS), has commissioned the Ivie the construction of a comprehensive data bank on the R&D activities of the ICT sectors for the EU-27 and other non-European reference countries (Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, India, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and the United States), according to the definitions provided by the OECD. Some of the data has been incorporated into the ICT R&D Macrodata database and analyzed in The PREDICT 2012 Report: An Analysis of ICT RD-EU and Beyond.

In addition the Ivie has developed a methodology for the transition between the NACE Rev. 1.1 and NACE Rev. 2 classifications and produced several documents on the sources and procedures used
