Study of the impact of data economy in the Valencian Community

Although data analysis is not something new, its economic importance has increased greatly in recent years. The possibilities of obtaining large volumes of information, along with its analysis and exploitation allow the development of new technologies, the implementation of improvements in production processes, the development of new products and business models, etc. However, data is also posing new challenges related to the concentration of information in a few large technological companies, or with data privacy. However, there is scarce statistical information available to assess the development of this new economic asset, or even a consensus on how to measure it.

Thus, the objective of this project is to develop an in-depth study to measure data economy and its economic and social impact, as well as the exploitation of public and private data in the Valencian Community.
