For the third year in a row, the Cañada Blanch Foundation, the Ivie (Valencian Institute of Economic Research), the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), the Valencian Association of Entrepreneurs (AVE) and Bankia have joined forces to organize the Cañada Blanch Forum. On this occasion, the debates focused on innovation as a competitive value for companies, institutions and the government. In addition, they aimed to identify the possible risks involving innovation and how to manage them effectively.
The Cañada Blanch Forum was born in 2014 with the aim of boosting the Valencian economy through debates and collective thinking. The first edition focused on identifying the competitive strategies of the Valencian economy in the European context, while in 2015 the main topic was the choice of industry or services as business models capable of achieving the biggest competitive advantages.
The 2016 Forum was held on November 30th and December 1st at the headquarters of the EDEM Entrepreneurs School of Valencia under the title Risks of innovation. How to manage innovation to compete better. The conference theme evolved from an already accepted idea, expressed in the two previous forums: the fundamental value of innovation for the future of the Valencian economy. However, available data show that investment in innovative projects and initiatives is still far from desirable.
