Among its objectives, the CRUE strives to ensure that knowledge transfer activities carried out by universities are given due recognition.
The final aim to give well-deserved recognition to the transfer of knowledge is achieved by means of a system designed to measure these activities carried out by professors and researchers in order to evaluate them and establish knowledge transfer sexennials, compatible and complementary to the existing research sexennials. Several tasks are necessary to make this assessment and recognition possible:
- An accurate and unified definition of knowledge transfer.
- A clear delimitation of the knowledge transfer activities carried out by universities.
- The identification of university stakeholders affected by knowledge transfer activities.
- The measurement of the impact which will be the key to assess the effects of knowledge transferred by each university at an institutional level and knowledge generated by professors at an individual level, as well as to make a global (university) and sexennial (individual) assessment.
