The objective of this study is to quantify the economic impact that UK’s exit from the European Union will have on the Valencian Community. Although there is still no empirical evidence to assess the impact, it is possible to approach this analysis from different perspectives. First, it will be necessary to consider the advantages and disadvantages of the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement concluded between the EU and the UK. Second, an exploratory analysis of the economic relations (trade, investment or tourism, among others) that currently exists between the UK and the Valencian Community is needed. Third, the report aims to review, summarize and analyze the points of view, forecasts and micro-experiences of the agents and entities most directly involved in the relationship between the Valencian Community and the United Kingdom. Finally, the work is completed with a modeling exercise that allows to launch quantitative results regarding the impact of the new EU-UK trade agreement on the Valencian economy.
