IvieLAB. NGEU funds in the Valencian Community: PERTE analysis with recipients in the Valencian Community
Project start date: 2025
Project end date: research in progress
Funding institution: Generalitat Valenciana

The Strategic Projects for Economic Recovery and Transformation (PERTE) are a mechanism designed to channel Next Generation EU funds into Spain’s priority areas. Their main focus is on supporting transformative, high-impact projects across various sectors, while promoting public-private collaboration. To this end, more than €42 billion from the Next Generation EU funds will be allocated to a dozen PERTE initiatives, distributed through different calls for aid (grants and low-interest loans) and public tenders.

Among the PERTE initiatives already launched are those focused on Microelectronics and Semiconductors (chips), Renewable Energy, Renewable Hydrogen and Storage (ERHA), Development of the Electric and Connected Vehicle (VEC), Social and Care Economy, Agri-food, Aerospace, among others.

Based on this report, each PERTE funded through NGEU will be analyzed individually, and the portion of funding received by the Valencian Community will be identified and quantified. This analysis will be based on data as of June 2025.
