Growth based on strategic sectors enables regions to concentrate resources, talent, and innovation in areas with greater potential to generate added value. For the Region of Valencia, this involves strengthening already consolidated clusters, such as ceramics, agri-food, and tourism, while diversifying into emerging activities linked to digitalization and sustainability.
Against this backdrop, the aim of the report is to analyze the territorial distribution of economic activity in the Region of Valencia, with a particular focus on identifying, characterizing, and assessing its strategic sectors. The study will be based on a district and provincial breakdown, making it possible to capture the productive specificities of each area. It will assess sectoral concentration, specialization, and diversification using indicators such as employment, gross value added, productivity, and firm size.
