Recent trends in job quality in Spain
Project start date: 2026
Project end date: research in progress
Funding institution: Fundación Ramón Areces
The objective of this project is to analyze the impact of the measures adopted to improve job quality in Spain over the current decade, as well as to assess recent trends and the current situation in this area.
The analysis goes beyond overall job quality for the employed population as a whole by examining differences across specific population groups (such as older workers, young people, workers with only basic education), many of whom face greater challenges in terms of job quality. Also, the project analyzes job quality by branches of activity, among which there are also very different situations, highlighting the importance of the productive structure and its transformation as key determinants of overall job quality.
