The Ivie and Bankia have renewed their GECE Observatory collaboration agreement to analyze the competitiveness of firms
During 2019, two reports will be prepared on the determining factors of the competitiveness of Valencian firms over time by industry and by region.
Bankia and the Ivie have renewed a collaboration agreement to prepare two new Corporate Governance, Strategy and Competitiveness (GECE) Observatory reports during 2019. The reports will analyze the competitiveness of Valencian firms over time, in particular, the factors and internal reasons contributing to their competitiveness.
During 2018, the GECE Observatory developed three comprehensive reports and three brief Keys to Competitiveness documents that analyzed, among other issues, competitiveness, different ownership and governing board models, and international profiles of firms in the Valencian Community. The firms were categorized by size and ownership (family or non-family) and were also compared to national firms.
The GECE Observatory, created by Bankia and the Ivie through an agreement signed in November 2017, aims to provide and share information that will help firms identify and reflect on factors that contribute to improving firms’ competitiveness.
As well as drawing on available databases, the GECE Observatory can call on first-hand information from a panel of firms which, in return for their contributions, receive free customized competitiveness reports on their own performance relative to regional and national firms that allows comparisons with benchmark companies. A total of 50 firms have joined this panel to date.
