The aim of this study undertaken for the Polytechnic University of Valencia has been to make an estimate of the potential demand of a degree in Biomedical Engineering, in the case this degree were implemented. The assessment of the demand is based on surveys conducted in the Valencian universities to first year students of related courses to this degree, and on in-depth interviews with experts related to the working environments in which Biomedical Engineering graduates would find jobs, such as hospitals, universities and technology-based companies. It evaluates its suitability, and the needs and demands of the productive fabric.
