Research Areas

The purpose of this project is to study the economic impact of the Castellón Airport on all the aspects of the economy of the Spanish province of Castellón (revitalization and diversification of economic activity, investment generator, employment, income, etc.). The study will evaluate the potential of its current resources and especially, of the investment and diversification plan of its current activity, to assess the scope of the economic impact (direct, indirect, induced, by areas and sectors).

With reliable and comprehensive data, the study will cover two areas:

• Economic impact of Castellón Airport, including its facilities and activities.
• Potential economic impact of the Airport, after implementing the current investment plan, and the one that will be carried out in the Complementary Activities Zone (ZAC).

The assessment will be made with a view to the short and medium term impacts, geographically limited to the province and with a detail of the different elements of the economy it may have an impact on.
