Ivie's 2020 Annual Report now available for download
The Institute focuses its attention on the socioeconomic impact of the pandemic and adapts its activities to new digital formats
The coronavirus has not only shocked the Spanish economy, but has also transformed the way in which people interact and communicate. However, the Ivie, far from slowing down its activity, increased it during 2020, to offer an analysis in real-time of the effects of the pandemic on the economy. As a result, the COVID19:IvieExpress documents were created, with a total of 21 issues on topics such as the impact of the crisis on GDP, employment, trade, education or the gender gap.
In addition, the Institute has rapidly adapted to new virtual or digital formats to present its studies and other previously in-person activities, by means of streaming, webinars and online press conferences.
During 2020, a total of 51 dissemination activities were carried out, including workshops, conferences, debates and online study presentations. In addition, 59 research projects were developed.
The Annual Report, available in PDF, contains all the information on the work carried out at the Institute during such an exceptional year, as well as the scientific activity developed by Ivie’s researchers who published 220 papers through articles in journals, books, reports and working papers.
