System of indicators on the Valencian economy

The objective of this project is to establish a system of indicators that allows to regularly monitor the activity of the Valencian economy. In order to achieve this, the indicators are grouped into the following fields: production, labor market, foreign sector, economic sectors (primary, industry, construction, services, trade, tourism), productivity/competitiveness, prices, business demographics, public finances, technological indicators/digitization and other short-term indicators. The selection of the indicators is based on the availability of information on at least a quarterly basis (with some exceptions) that allows to compare the Valencian Region on a national level, with some indicators offering a European comparison. The system of indicators will be updated on a quarterly basis.

Two objectives are achieved by means of the proposed indicators. On the one hand, to offer information on the main fields that allow to monitor the Valencian Community in the national/European context; and, on the other hand, to build a table that summarizes the economic situation, by selecting from the total system those indicators that outline the evolution of the Valencian economy.
