Observatory on financial integration in Europe: The case of Spain. 2012

Based on the construction of an extensive system of indicators, this project analyzes the evolution of financial integration in Europe during 1999-2010. The 4th edition of the Observatory is marked by two events: the European Sovereign Debt Crisis and the measures taken to mitigate the impact of the crisis on financial stability. The report includes an update of previous estimates of the impact of integration on GDP growth, both for the complete period 1999-2010 and for the crisis years 2007-2010.
