The aim of this project is to compensate for the lack of information on how much sports contribute to GDP and employment. Despite the economic importance of the sector, there is no rigorous report that measures the economic impact and value of sports in Spain in terms of GDP and employment.
Using a broad definition of the sector, this proposal seeks to quantify both the value and the economic impact of sports in Spain, offering an analysis of both supply (direct contribution of the sector) and demand (total economic impact) .
