Report on the economic and social impact of the City of Arts and Sciences in the Valencian Community

There are two main objectives in this report. On one hand, it aims to estimate the economic impact of the City of Arts and Sciences of Valencia in 2024, by quatifying its contributions in terms of income (GDP) and employment generation in the Valencian Community. On the other hand, it seeks to calculate its social contribution in terms of human capital generation. In the firts case, the input-output methology is used, while the social contribution in terms of human capital is quantified in monetary terms based on two complementary analysis: visitors willingness to pay and an estimate of the training cost equivalent to the number of hours visitors spend at the site. The report will refer to the year 2024 and will use fieldwork (surveys) to be carried out in 2025.
