The adjustments implemented by the Spanish Government in 2010 have brought about a decline in public investments in some major infrastructures such as education and health. Since 2009, Spain’s investment in education and health has dropped 50% and 37%, respectively. By regions, it follows the same pattern, and in some cases, the intense drop has resulted in a decrease in the long-term accumulated capital endowments, affecting the quality of the public services provided.
