This database, created by the COTEC Foundation and Ivie, offers data on the progress of Spain’s digital economy across 21 different sectors of activity.  In order to achieve this, a methodology has been developed that uses variables such as gross operating surplus, labor remuneration, employment, wages and GVA to provide information on the extent of digitalization from 2011-2023.  In the latest edition of the report, these factors are supplemented with additional data from the extension of the technique created by measuring digitization at work. The most innovative aspect is broadening the definition of digital work to include not only the work of ICT specialists, as was the case in the previous edition, but also the work of other professions. As a novelty, additional information is provided on the number of workers and their respective wage costs, depending on the type of digital worker in question.
