Resumen
Spanish banks have taken advantage of the crisis to implement measures, which now appear to have given them sorne relative advantages with respect to many of their European peers. Despite a seemingly more benign outlook going into 2017, major challenges remain on the international scene for both the Spanish and eurozone banks.
