Resumen
The deleveraging efforts of Spanish households and corporates has helped to bring down debt levels as a percent of DGP, as well as the debt servicing burden – both in absolute terms and compared to other EU countries. Ongoing deleveraging efforts, together with the persistence of benign funding conditions, will be needed to further bring down debt ratios and reduce financial vulnerability.
