Regional resilience in Spain
The economic crisis has affected employment in the Spanish regions at different levels. Navarre and La Rioja are the regions that have better resisted the effects of the crisis on employment with a resistance rate over 20 percentage points above the national average. During the recovery period, the best results were obtained by the Balearic Islands, Aragon and Andalusia. The Balearic Islands dominate with a strong recovery that almost doubles the national average and are currently the only region with an employment rate above the pre-crisis level.
