Alejandro Escribá, newly appointed Full Professor at the University of Valencia

The Ivie Researcher advocated the necessary cooperation between university and business

Ivie Researcher, Alejandro Escribá, has been promoted to Full Professor of Organizational Business at the University of Valencia, upon defending his candidacy with a presentation of his teaching and research projects, along with a summary of his professional career.

In his presentation, he highlighted the heterogeneity of the Spanish University System and its influence on university performance. In addition, he presented an innovative teaching proposal following the European Higher Education Area guidelines using several subjects from the Degree in Business Administration and Master’s Degree in Business Strategy as examples.

The jury acknowledged his dedication and achievements both as a teacher and a researcher and highlighted his great human quality.  Alejandro is known to be a modest, hard-working person, who is highly committed to his work and always willing to help others.

Alejandro Escribá has a Ph.D. in Economics and Business Studies from the University of Valencia. He is Full Professor of Business Administration at the said university and Director of the University of Valencia Chair of Family Business. He has been Guest Lecturer at Bocconi University (Italy), HEC Montreal and Concordia University (Canada). He has published more than thirty articles on these issues in several Spanish and international journals.

His fields of research are corporate governance, business management teams, business leadership and strategy and strategic analysis of the university system.
